Felted Baskets

We welcome back Trish O'Meara of Wormit Woolies for another workshop making felted baskets. Everyone enjoyed greatly the previous ones and you can see above examples of the type of work you will do. Join Trish for a fast-paced, fun afternoon workshop and learn the ancient art of wet felting to create a 3D work of art. Wet felting involves layering wool fibres and working them with warm, soapy water to essentially knit the fibres together. You will take it one step further with 3D felting, using a plastic resist to create a vessel/basket. All materials will be provided and there will be a selection of driftwood to create a handle.
