About this Event
*IMPORTANT INFORMATION*
This e-module developed by the Home Office should be treated as if it were a training day.
You will be sent details of how to access your FGM training materials along with your e-module training survey on the day of the training, both of which must be completed on the day.
You will also receive information on Scottish legislation relating to FGM in this email, as the e-module covers English policy and legislation only.
Aim of the training:
-Understand what FGM is and the varying types of FGM
-Understand the health risks and consequences of FGM
-Be able to identify those at risk of FGM by identifying key indicators
-Understand why FGM continues to happen and why it is difficult to eradicate
-Be aware of your role in preventing FGM and knowing what to do if you suspect it
You should allow 2-3 hours to complete the e-module and post-training survey.
