Event description

Description

Body temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure are your commonly accepted outward signs of your inward health, these four measures are also called your vital signs. However, as menstruating women we have a 5th outward sign of our inward health – your monthly cycle or period. Let me say it again: Your period is not just a period, it’s an expression of your underlying health. When you are healthy your period should arrive smoothly, regularly and without undesirable symptoms. Yes – PMS might be common but it is not normal. When you are unhealthy in some way your cycle will tell a story … and this supper club is designed to help you understand that story and give you some practical tips on how to support period health.

The areas we will cover will include;

  • What is your cycle telling you about your underlying health?
  • Tips on how to track your cycle and the benefits beyond fertility
  • Understanding your hormones at different parts of your cycle
  • Practical nutritional tips on how to regulate your cycle, reduce PMS and embrace your monthly period. You might not believe you would ever embrace your period … but give me an hour and let’s see.
  • The contraceptive Pill as a means of ‘hormonal balance’ will also be discussed. Spoiler: The Pill doesn’t balance your hormones.

Rosie looks forward to meeting you as you are part of the Period Revolution.

The evening will include;

  • Healthy mocktail on arrival
  • A delicious 2-course hormone balancing meal (this will be veggie and vegan, plant based, gluten free and beige free)
  • A 1 hour talk from Rosie about how to balance your hormones naturally (informal and interactive) plus 45-minute Q&A over nourishing tea and treats
