Female Voices in Engineering & Science
Thu 30 March 2017, 18:00 – 20:00 MDT
The College of Engineering is delighted to announce a series of events through the rest of the academic year to promote opportunities and support available to female students on all Engineering and Sport & Exercise Science programmes, discuss challenges and barriers faced by women in academia, research and industry, and provide a platform to network and engage with women studying and working in STEM areas in a variety of roles and levels.
The first of these will take place on Thursday March 30th in Engineering Central B001, Bay Campus, 6-8pm.
The event will be a World Café-style event, with opportunities to discuss informally, take part in Q&A, and engage with women currently studying, researching and working in industry.
There will be female representation from RWE Group, WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff, DTR Medical, Swansea University Year in Industry, Swansea Students Women’s Engineering Society and M2A Materials & Manufacturing Academy.
Free refreshments will be available.
This event is open to all Engineering and Sport & Exercise Science students.
