About this event

A 3-hour workshop for Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Mental-Health Professionals who want to learn more about Intersectional Feminism.

What is Intersectional Feminism and how is it relevant to counselling and therapy?

What does it mean to be Feminist?

Why is Intersectionality important?

How do Feminist principles affect our understanding of client's suffering?

Intersectionality is the process of understanding how different systems of oppression 'intersect' to affect a client's lived experience of the world.

Understanding how this comes into play in the therapeutic relationship can benefit both the counsellor / therapist and the client.

During this workshop, we will discuss what we understand of Feminism, what biases might affect our work, and how an Intersectional Feminist approach can be beneficial to clients of ALL backgrounds and identities.

All participants will be given a 3 hour CPD certificate.
