Description

What are women to make of the misogyny that has been typical of many of the recent populist movements? Cambridge’s three women’s colleges explore why, despite our female Prime Minister, women’s rights feel under threat, and debate how women can respond positively to this provocation.

This panel discussion forms the third event hosted by the three women’s colleges at Cambridge. Jackie Ashley, President of Lucy Cavendish, Professor Dame Carol Black, Principal of Newnham, and Dame Barbara Stocking, President of Murray Edwards will be joined by an alumna from their respective colleges. The discussion will be chaired by Dr Jude Browne, The Jessica and Peter Frankopan Director of the University of Cambridge Centre for Gender Studies.
