About this event

Government • Other

We need a movement to defend women's rights against the far right and billionaires. This is a talk about the case for class-struggle feminism and what that means in Britain today.

Part of our weekly political discussion events every Wednesday evening at 6pm, at the University Arms S3 7HG. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Who we are

Workers’ Liberty is a socialist activist group that aims to put socialist ideas into practice by organising solidarity. We think it is possible to replace capitalism with a better society - socialism. We think that the people who can do that are the working class.

We argue that student activists should look to the workers’ movement. To challenge the marketisation of education, and promote democratic universities, we organise student action in solidarity with university workers’ struggles, and campaign for free education, funded by taxing the rich. We organise with other radical-minded students to get involved in the class struggle. At UoS we are an active part of the Sheffield Anti-Cuts Coalition.
