Are you a radical feminist who wants to become active? Come along and find out about how to set up or get involved in existing radical feminist activism. This event is for radical feminists only and will be run in a series of workshop styles. Workshops will cover lobbying, direct action and setting up and running a feminist campaign or group.
Workshop 1: Direct Action - This workshop will support women to find out about Non-Violent Direct Action. There will be chance to practice planning an action and to learn from the experiences of the use of NVDA at Greenham Common Women's Peace camp.
Ruth was an NVDA trainer and activist back in the day and the time has come to do it again! "NVDA chimes with my passion for change, upbringing as a Quaker and is consistent with radical feminism! It's a great way to really get to know other women with similar passions and to have fun!"
Workshop 2: Setting up a feminist group or campaign. Building the web: How to find/network other radical feminists; how to infuse RF ideas into existing women's groups. Run by Elizabeth Carole.
Workshop 3: Lobbying - in this workshop we will explore what lobbying is - and what issues we might use it for. We will choose two issues women would like to do lobbying on and between us create plans and outlines for how to do it. Run by Liz Kelly.
