Feminist Book Club Glasgow
Event Information
About this Event
If you are a fan of equality and want to learn more about historical feminists, literature from around the world and smashing the patriarchy then join FBC!
We are an informal book club with a focus on feminist authors and books. Future reads are set by the group. Before Covid-19 books could be collected for free from the Mitchell Library, but right now we are trying to share books and asking you to source yourself where possible.
Current reads and dates are:
- The Burning by Laura Bates on Tuesday 16th March at 7pm by Zoom - joining instructions will be sent in advance of meeting. Please note that the venue may change to CCA Glasgow if restrictions allow.
Previous reads include Beloved by Toni Morrison, Being Emily by Anne Donnovan, Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Invisible Women by Caroline Criado Perez, Testaments by Margaret Atwood, Becoming by Michelle Obama, The Good Immigrant by Nikesh Shukla, My Autobiography of Carson McCullers: A Memoir by Jenn Shapland, Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo and Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay.
