Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

It is difficult to imagine that in the near future we will all be living with a Feminist Internet.

That's why, at 5 pm this Friday 10 September, UAL Futures invite you to the launch of the Feminist Internet Manifesto.

Join University of the Arts London students, graduates and friends to talk about futures in which the internet strengthens feminist movements and advances women’s rights at a local and global level.

Learn how 16 people, strangers until 10 days ago, have come together in a radical collaboration to distill guiding principles for a Feminist Internet.

How as part of the Feminist Internet Futures Studio they have collectively developed creative projects responding to uncomfortable truths surrounding gender inequality, the internet, and technology.

If you believe in a Feminist Internet pledge your support to our directive for future actions.

Spread the word and become part of a global discussion to empower youth to imagine and invent new Futures where the Feminist Internet kills it...

UAL Futures exists to empower students with the tools to invent better Futures. Part of University of the Arts London’s Teaching and Learning Exchange our purpose is to design learning experiences and undertake research to help UAL adapt to the transformative effects of digital technologies on creative practice, careers and creative teaching and learning.

UAL Futures Studios are our conceptual innovation labs for creative learning and teaching. Cross-disciplinary, collaborative and purpose-driven, UAL Futures Studios are a platform to bring students and industry partners together to prototype creative responses to wicked technological, social and cultural questions.

We call our teaching philosophy ‘Speculative Pedagogy.’ It blends processes, tools, and methods from design thinking, futures thinking, and speculative and critical design, providing a framework for designing educational experiences that help students develop creative attributes, digital skills, and collaborative mindsets.
