Fen Speak open mic night with special guest set from Paul Stephenson, plus open mic slots for poems and stories.

About this Event

This month our special guest will be Paul Stephenson. Paul grew up in Cambridge and studied modern languages. He took part in the Jerwood/Aldeburgh mentoring scheme in 2013/14. He has published three poetry pamphlets: Those People (Smith/Doorstop, 2015), which won the Poetry Business pamphlet competition judged by Billy Collins; The Days that Followed Paris (HappenStance, 2016), written while living in the Paris at the time of the November 2015 terrorist attacks; and Selfie with Waterlilies (Paper Swans Press, 2017). He completed an MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) with the Manchester Writing School and co-curated Poetry in Aldeburgh in 2018-2020. There will also be open mic slots for poems and stories.

This event will be online via Zoom. Register in advance to receive the Zoom meeting information. Select an open mic ticket if you'd like to perform on the night, or a general admission ticket to listen from the audience. Additional open mic slots may be available on the night but this cannot be guaranteed.
