Description

Fenwick Great Northern Producer Event - Featuring Ann Gray

Join Ann Gray in Porterhouse within the Fenwick Food Hall on Monday 3 September for an unforgettable night featuring Middle White Nose to Tail.

The menu has been created especially for the evening to highlight the best of Middle White Pork and will be prepared and cooked on the night by our very own Terry Laybourne. Wines have been chosen to compliment the meal and will be served throughout the evening.

Presented in a 'feasting' style, where conviviality is king, promoting mutual discussion and debate. Starters will be presented as sharing platters, followed by the signature Middle White Pork main and finishing with dessert.

This is unique opportunity to witness this special partnership between restaurateur Terry Laybourne and local food hero Ann Gray in a small intimate setting.

About Ann Gray

Ravensworth Grange Farm has been home to many generations of the Gray family, who lived at the farm since 1881, and previously farmed in Northumberland. Their rare-breed middle white pigs and traditional Suffolk cross lambs are born and bred on the 200-acre farm which also produces most of the animals’ feed. No growth promoters or routine antibiotics are used. Both pigs and sheep are able to roam freely amongst the pasture and woodland.

The pork is particularly prized for its tasty crackling. The Suffolk Cross lambs are the result of a sturdy mule ‘Mum’ (itself born of a Leicester ram and Scottish Blackface or Swaledale ewe) matched with a top-quality Suffolk ‘Dad’ resulting in lambs that are strong and with plenty of meat.
