ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The Tannahill Centre is hosting a Community Conference for Ferguslie Park on Friday, 19th January 2017 from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm.

Although we are still shaping the agenda we are delighted to have Professor Carol Tannahill from the Glasgow Centre of Population Health confirmed as our keynote speaker.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The conference will provide local residents, community organisations and public sector stakeholders with a platform to share learning, encourage collaboration and strengthen networks. We want to explore approaches to community-led development and discuss how these can be implemented in Ferguslie Park.

Delegates will also hear about the recent changes in the Tannahill Centre and how it aims to work with local residents and community organisations over the coming year to secure additional resources for Ferguslie Park and deliver a greater number of services that meet the needs of local people.

WHO IS IT AIMED AT?

The conference is aimed at local residents, community organisations working or aspiring to work in Ferguslie Park as well as practitioners and decision makers from public sector bodies. We want to highlight Ferguslie Park's strengths, discuss it's challenges and identify how these strengths can be used to overcome these challenges.

FREE CRECHE

To ensure that childcare is not a barrier to participation a free creche will be open from 9:30 am till 12:30 pm on the day of the conference. Please indicate the number of children you require to be placed in the creche and we will be in touch with creche registration forms as soon as possible. Please note that creche places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
