About this Event

Why learn to ferment for health?

Fermented foods have stood the test of time and for centuries have been a source of probiotic foods for traditional cultures. The recipes have passed from families to families and have survived up until today.

Research has proven that fermented foods and drinks contain a large amount of health promoting bacteria and yeasts. When we eat and drink these foods they have the power to impact our digestive health in a positive way. Many people experience, improved digestion, better energy and improved immunity by adding these foods to their diets.

What we will cover

We will cover basic fermentation techniques. Get your questions answered with regards to fermented foods and drinks. Network with like minded people, taste fermented foods and drinks.

Learn what can go wrong and how to achieve a good ferment.

I will provide you with all the food ingredients you need to make your ferments. Just bring yourself and some clean sterile jars to put your ferments in. You will take your produce home that you will make on the day!

You may wish to bring an apron also to protect your clothes.

You will learn how to make:

  • Sauerkraut
  • Kimchi
  • Kombucha
  • Water kefir
  • Milk kefir
