Event description

Description

Twilight Dances
An evening of dance, film and live music

Fertile Ground visits London for the first time with a dynamic programme. Twilight Dances is a dance and music collaboration between Fertile Ground and Montréal based Quatuor Voxpopuli. Choreographed by Fertile Ground Artistic Directors and former Rambert dancers Malgorzata Dzierzon and Renaud Wiser and performed to Schubert's String Quartet No.14, Twilight Dances explores the eternal quest for the one thing that we cannot have - immortality.

The evening opens with a new musical performance composed by Voxpopuli's Artistic Director Patrick Mathieu and a new film commission Trying to Make Sense - Make Sense of It by celebrated movement and theatre artist Wendy Houstoun.

Due to the nature of the venue, we kindly advise you to wear comfortable shoes and dress warmly. Please note that there is no cloakroom, nor refreshments available.

Wheelchair access is currently to the ground floor only. We kindly request patrons with access requirements to get in touch directly in advance via ad@fertileground.org.uk as the temporary ramp may not be suitable for all wheelchair types. Part one of the evening will be presented in the basement, which is unfortunately not currently accessible by wheelchair. We apologise for this, and discounted Access Concessions are available for any patrons who are unable to use the stairs. Please arrive at 8pm if only attending the second part of the evening, which is fully accessible.
