Robin Ince
I’m a Joke and So Are You: A Comedian’s Take on What Makes Us Human
Wed 3 October 2018, 19:00-20:00
We The Curious (At-Bristol)
£8 / £6 / £4.50

£4.50 Partner Rate is for staff, students or members at the following organisations: Arts Council England, Bristol City Council, Business West, University of Bristol and UWE.

As a connoisseur of comedy, Robin Ince has spent decades mining our eccentricities to create gags – and watching other strange individuals do the same. And for years on The Infinite Monkey Cage he has sought – sometimes in vain – to understand the world around us. He now unites these pursuits to examine the human condition through the prism of humour, exploring the key psychological questions we all ask ourselves: why do we make the choices we do in life? Where do anxiety and imagination come from? How does our childhood shape our life choices? Do we all have a need to perform? Is failing good for us? And are we more than our brains? Informed by personal insights from his own life as well as interviews with a bevy of A-list comedians, neuroscientists, psychologists and doctors, he offers a hilarious and moving primer to the mind.

Please note that you will be asked of proof for your eligibility of a Partner Rate or concession ticket. Concessions apply to Full Time Students, Job Seekers Allowance, Incapacity Benefit claimants, over 60s and disabled people. The Partner Rate is for staff, students or members at the following organisations: Arts Council England, Bristol City Council, Business West, University of Bristol and UWE. Please note that no refunds/exchanges are possible for tickets already purchased at the higher price.

Please ensure you use the correct email address. This is where your ticket will be sent. If you do not provide the correct address, you will not receive the acknowledgement email or ticket.
