Bedford Indian Community (BIC) was formed in 2011 by a group of like minded individuals and organisations.
Our main objective is to bring the community of Indians living in and around Bedford under one umbrella, irrespective of their language, religion, caste, faith or profession.
We believe that the more united we are, the stronger our position would be in the society which puts us in an advantageous position to help our fellow Indians and the local community in every possible way. Our group is open to one and all.
We would like to protect, maintain and promote Indian culture and its values to the current and future generations.
Over the past five years, our founding trustees have been putting a lot of time, energy, resources and experience into promoting The Festival of Lights celebration successfully in our historic town of Bedford. The event has been extremely successful and has been consistently attracting over 2000 people.
We are a dedicated group of like-minded individuals who feel that an involved citizenry is our best solution to the social problems that challenge our community.
We meet once every month to plan our future activities.
This Year's Event:
This year the Festival of Lights is being held on Saturday 29th of October 2016 at the Bedford Corn Exchange from 3.00 pm To 9.00 pm and promises to be an even bigger and more successful event.
