Join us to celebrate 50 years in Guildford. Enjoy a free day out with all the family and discover the wonderful things that happen here at the University of Surrey. The programme will be jam-packed with music, comedy and dance performances, talks, sports activities, hands-on workshops, and science and technology exhibits. Plus, local food stalls, a kids’ zone, and the chance to try out your clinical skills and meet the animals at the School of Veterinary Medicine.
Why do I have to register?
We're asking all guests to register for the Festival of Wonder to assist with the planning of the variety of exciting and innovative activities taking place. Some activities/events will have a maximum capacity and so will need to be booked seperately - booking for these will go live on 31st March 2017.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Please bring your ticket/s with you, either in paper form or on your mobile phone (for both the main Festival and any additionally booked events).
Will my ticket give me access to the whole of the Festival of Wonder?
This ticket provides you with general admission to the Festival of Wonder and includes the majority of planned activity. There's a handful of events within the festival which have a maximum capacity and will therefore require a seperate booking. These events will be available to book on 31st March when the full programme of activity is released (www.surrey.ac.uk/festivalofwonder). An email will be sent to all those that have booked their general admission tickets as a reminder that these are now available.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking will be available on both the Stag Hill and Manor Park campuses. We do expect demanding for parking to be high so please use public transport or walking routes wherever possible. Joining instructions will be sent to all those that have booked in advance of the event.
Will there be photography and filming taking place at the Festival of Wonder?
Yes, the University of Surrey will have official photographers and a film crew present at the Festival. If you would prefer that your image isn't used in anyway after the event, please do get in contact and let us know.
Will there be food and drink available at the event?
Yes, there will be a variety of refreshment options on the day serving food to serve a variety of tastes.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
There is no minimum age, this is a family friendly event.
