Donald Smith was Director of the Scottish Storytelling Centre 2003-2014 and was a founding director of the National Theatre of Scotland. He has written several non-fiction books including "Storytelling Scotland" (2001) and novels including "The English Spy" (2007).

For this event, he will talk about and read from his latest book "Edinburgh: Our Storied Town" (2024), during research for which he gathered infomration about about James "Ossian" Macpherson's time and residence in the capital. Expect more than a hint of Ossian in this session.

Book sales (and signing) are likely to be available after the talk.

Pre-booking is essential.

The talk start at 2.30 pm. Please aim to turn up 10 minutes before the event.

Donations received for tickets will be passed on to the Clan Macpherson Museum after the event.

Parking at the Museum is limited, but parking is available on the Main Street.
