Tide of Light 2019 is looking for amazing volunteers to join us on Saturday 2nd November. Come and be part of an amazing team for the event!

About this Event

Workshop Helpers

Come and join our mighty makers who will be making very simple lanterns with groups of children and their parents at The Pavilion Theatre, Worthing Seafront.

All equipment and full training will be provided. This role is really fun, in a busy and vibrant atmosphere.

A Full briefing and a food voucher will be given on the night.

Times: Saturday 2nd November, 2pm - 7pm

Parade Marshalls

This is a key role in keeping people safe and informed on the night of the parade.

It will involve walking with the parade from The Pavilion Theatre to Beach House Grounds and dealing with any enquiries. There will also be a litter picking role at the end of the evening if you are able to stay till 11pm

A Full briefing and a food voucher will be given on the night.

Times: Saturday 2nd November, 5pm - 11pm

Fundraising Marshalls

Your role will involve being the responsible holder of a fundraising bucket.

You will be encouraged to make yourself noticeable, so if you are a natural show off, have a great costume or can illuminate yourself we'd love you to help us raise all important funds for Tide of Light.

This is an out there, responsibile role and you will be given security buckets to collect donations and a central point to return the buckets to.

A Full briefing and a food voucher will be given on the night.

Times: Saturday 2nd November, 5pm - 11pm

Travel expenses will be paid on receipt and food vouchers provided.

General skills required for volunteering:

• Demonstrate ability to work on own initiative and work well within a team • IT skills where appropriate and ability to communicate on email.• Ability to prioritise workload and have good time management• Ability to dealing with confidential and sensitive information• You will need to demonstrate a can-do attitude.• Be friendly and professional• Be able to handle confidential and sensitive information

Volunteering is key to community organisations, without you we can’t do what we do. This is a great way to get involved in a local project if you are given allocated volunteering time at work or college, require experience for your CV or have a skill you can share.
