Festive Family Fun
Event Information
About this Event
Come and join us for a fun family session here on the wonderful nature reserve at the Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre, Ramsey Heights.
We will be making bird feeders to take home and hang in your gardens, to help our feathered friends through the chilly month. We will make some lovely natural crafts and go hunting for wildlife and their tracks around the reserve. Don't miss a visit to the dens where a seasonal tale will be waiting for you!
Sessions will run throughout the day on Saturday 12th December. Entry times will be staggered with a set length of time at each activity to ensure only one group is there at each time. Pre-booking a time slot is essential. Your safety is our priority, so all appropriate social distancing and hygiene measures will be implemented. Please read all of the important information below.
How your session will run:
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your session.
A maximum of 5 people can book on to one time slot. We will meet you at the main car park gate to let your vehicle in.
Each activity will be led by a different Great Fen team member and you will move to the next activity at an allotted time so groups are kept separated. You will be loaned your own equipment to use during your visit and these should be returned for cleaning when you leave each activity.
Toilets will be accessible for event attendees.
All activities will take place outdoors so please wear weather-appropriate clothing, including long trousers and sensible shoes with closed toes. Insect repellent is useful and do bring raincoats. Please also remember to bring your own picnic blanket, as this will be very useful for your family to sit on.
Pocket-money toys will be on sale. Unfortunately no change can be given for cash sales but we can also take contactless card payments.
Booking your tickets:
Cost - £5 per child Wildlife Trust BCN members, £7.50 per child non-members. Adults and babes in arms free. Maximum 5 people per session.
Pre-booking is essential. All attendees must buy a ticket to ensure we adhere to group size guidelines.
