Folk, Christmas and the North-East go together like turkey, stuffing and roast potatoes...so what better way to kick off the festive season than a night of the region’s finest folk acts, all performing in an beautifully ornate Spiegeltent located within the historic Darlington Market Square?!
This evening of traditional and contemporary acts is curated by Tracks, in association with Soapbox Sessions, Distinct Darlington and Rocket Town Brewery Co. and will bring you tender vocals and string-filled soundscapes, along with warming mulled wine.
James Robson & The Lovely Burn - An alt-Americana inspired duo from Darlington with soaring, emotive vocals, sparse percussion and warm country blues guitar.
Peg Powler - a four-piece traditional folk/acoustic band who perform songs and original material that embraces literary motifs, contemporary life and old-world influence.
Dressed Like Wolves - Honest, frantic and heartfelt lo-fi folk music about all the things and people that surround them.
J.P. Riggall - Frontman of The Broken Broadcast performing haunting yet soulful chamber folk that will send shivers up your spine.
