Join us for a rejuvenating and laughter-filled morning at the Botanics in Inverness! On Saturday December 21, 2024, starting at 09:30 am, we invite you to immerse yourself in the healing power of nature and laughter.

This unique event combines the therapeutic benefits of laughter yoga and the calming practice of forest bathing. Laugh your worries away and let the enchanting beauty of the Botanics soothe your mind, body and soul. Just as the gardens open, we shall start our morning with local laughter therapist, Natalie Gilray of Lighten the Load. Laughter Yoga is a fun and interactive exercise that combines laughter with deep breathing techniques, helping you to learn to laugh for no reason at all other than to boost your own wellbeing! This opening session will boost your mood, reduce stress, and leave you feeling energized before we enjoy a well-earnt cuppa and cake in the café onsite.

Then we shall head deeper into the gardens for a guided Forest Bathing session; also known as Shinrin-yoku. This practice involves immersing yourself within the woodland atmosphere, connecting with nature and reconnecting with yourself to improve your overall well-being. Guided by qualified forest therapy guide Cath Wright of Highland Quietlife, you'll engage your senses, connect with nature, and aim to experience a sense of relaxation.

No prior experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome to join! Just bring your open mind and a willingness to laugh and connect with nature. Wear comfortable clothing, dress for the weather and shoes suitable for walking outside - layers are best as we will plan to be inside and outside for our sessions.

Please let us know beforehand of any dietary or health requirements.

Price includes refreshments between sessions of tea, coffee and cake.
