Description
Get Excited for the best Christmas Creative Evenings OF the Year!
Join us in our Peckham Levels studio for an evening of Christmas Cards and Decorations (November 30th @ 7pm) or Christmas Wreath (December 15th @ 5.30pm) making merriment with carols, followed by some fantastic live performances - poetry, comedy, music.
It'll be fun, you'll learn some nifty DIY creative techniques, see wonderful performances and you'll leave with some Christmas goodies to proudly gift or display!
See below for details on the live performances and the making for each date :). Oh, and don’t forget our studio is BYOB so bring a bottle if you like (we'll provide the glasses), it’s going to be a merry evening!
November 30th
Live Performances
Georgie Jones with spoken word poetry (Edinburgh Fringe, The Roundhouse, Just These, Please) and Martha Paton with some acoustic songs to top off the night with a cheer.
Making - 2 hours
Make some beautiful Christmas Cards and Decorations for your family and friends as well as some bespoke decorations to hang on your Christmas tree or in your house!
There will be all the Christmassy creative stuff you need - pine cones, baubles, festive papier mache ornaments to paint / decoupage, sequins, sparkling pom poms, coloured paper, ribbons, bells, glitter, beads, paints, threads, felt, glues, stamps, cutters, stencils and vinyl! We will show you a few techniques, decoration ideas and some examples for inspiration, then we'll get making!
December 15th
Live Performances
Lord Hicks with some musical comedy (Edinburgh Fringe, The Pleasance), Georgie Jones with spoken word poetry (Edinburgh Fringe, The Roundhouse, Just These, Please), Martha Paton with some acoustic songs and to top off the night with a cheer.
Making - 2 hours
You'll learn how to make a Christmas wreath from scratch to decorate your home or office for the Christmas season! There'll be pine cones, chestnuts, baubles, berries, holly, ribbons, twine, cinnamon sticks, dried fruit, sequins, bells, beads, conker, threads, faux greenery for the base and more! We'll show you a few techniques, decoration ideas and some examples, then you'll be able to choose a colour scheme, combination of decorations and get making, with carols playing!
Note - the materials for the wreaths base are realistic artificial ones, which means it'll last for years and the needles won't get all over your floor! You can always add fresh flowers to it after, but we do have real dried fruits, pine cones, conkers and cinnamon sticks.
We can't wait for this! CHRISTMASSSSSSSS
