Festive Weave a Multipurpose Pot in Brighton
Overview
Get into the festive spirit with a creative weaving class that combines seasonal fun with eco-friendly making. In this relaxing workshop, guest instructor Theresa Amarilio will guide you step by step as you create a beautiful woven pot using recycled clothing strips and colourful wool. You can also bring your own textiles to add a personal touch, so your finished pot feels even more unique.
What You’ll Learn
The session begins with an introduction to basic weaving terms and techniques. First, Theresa helps you set up your weaving and choose textures and colours that suit your design. Then, you experiment with changing yarns, adding new shades, and building up your shape. After that, you learn how to add a base so the pot is strong and practical. To finish, you decorate it with trims, ribbons, or seasonal sparkle. Therefore, every participant leaves with a one-of-a-kind pot ready to brighten the festive season.
What You’ll Make
Your pot can be as practical or decorative as you like. Many participants choose festive colours and glitzy trims to create a Christmas pot. Others use softer tones so their design works all year round. Once completed, the pot is perfect for holding plants, pens, pencils, brushes, or treats. Because the workshop encourages personal choice, no two pots will ever look the same.
