One Health: Working Locally, Nationally & Globally
The theme of this years FHMS Festival of Research is 'One Health: working locally, nationally and globally'. This full day event packed with exciting and topical sessions will show how collaboration across disciplines and sectors could help to solve current and emerging global health challenges with the ultimate aim of improving human and animal health and wellbeing, as well as facilitating multidisciplinary and translational research.
The programme is well aligned to our overarching One Health theme encompassing the three core research sub themes:
Healthy Life Course
Innovations in Health
Disease Mechanisms and Management.
During a buffet lunch in the Austin Pearce 3 & 4, attendees will have the opportunity to view FHMS staff and PGR research Posters. There will be a Photograph competition displayed in the Austin Pearce foyer.
The day will conclude with the announcement of the competition winners and closing. Finally, this will be followed by a closing wine reception in Austin Pearce 3 & 4, giving attendees the opportunity to unwind over a glass of wine, network with colleagues and celebrate the fantastic research we produce in FHMS.
Tickets will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, so be sure to register early to avoid disappointment.
We welcome both professional services and academic staff from all disciplines and faculties to this exciting event! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the FHMS Organising Team (email@example.com). We look forward to seeing you there!
The Poster exhibition, Photography exhibitions, Elevator Pitch and Symposium are open to all FHMS academic and research staff, including PGRs and Research Fellows.
If you wish to enter any of these then you should submit your proposals to firstname.lastname@example.org by 1st June 2017. Once you have done this, guidelines will be sent to you.
