Description

NHS pharmaceutical applications: Making applications/learning from FHSAU appeal decisions

This one-day workshop has been designed specifically for anyone submitting applications for inclusion in, or amendment to, the pharmaceutical list in line with NHS (Pharmaceutical and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013 and for anyone responding to said applications. The workshop will explain the tests for Regulation 18 and Regulation 24 applications, the decision making process and how the FHSAU makes decisions.

Objectives

By the end of the programme, delegates will be able to:

  • Explain the FHSAU’s decision making process
  • Explain the key considerations for the decision maker
  • Reflect upon the FHSAU’s experience of determining applications
  • Explain the Regulation 18 and 24 tests under the NHS (Pharmaceutical and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013
  • Reflect upon Judicial Guidance

Who should participate?

This programme is designed for anyone submitting applications for inclusion in, or amendment to, the pharmaceutical list, or for anyone responding to said applications.

Programme

The programme is indicative of the content areas which will be covered. Timings are flexible and will be tailored to focus on areas of particular interest to delegates.

Workshop start time: 09:45 (Registration from 09:30)

Workshop preparation

Delegates will be required to familiarise themselves with two case studies in advance of the workshop.

Your joining instructions for the workshop, including a programme, pre-workshop reading and logistical details will be sent by email approximately two weeks in advance.

Please note on rare occassions we have to reschedule workshops due to low registration numbers. We will let you know at least four weeks before the workshop date if we plan to change workshop arrangements. We recommend that travel and accommodation arrangements are not made until four weeks prior to the workshop.

Delegates will be requested to provide feedback on the content and quality of training delivered after the event. We use this feedback to plan future events and understand the needs of our target audiences.

Tickets

Please ensure you select the ticket type according to who will be paying or reimbursing for the purchase in order for VAT to be charged as applicable. Failure to do so can result in cancellation of your booking and you will be required to re-book the correct ticket type.

Cancellation

To cancel your attendance at the workshop please do so via your Eventbrite account using the refund request button or the contact organiser link.

Please note the below cancellation charges:

  • More than 28 working days before the workshop start date: No charge
  • Less than 28 working days before the workshop start date: 20% administration fee will apply*
  • Less than 14 working days before the workshop start date: 100% fee applies*

*Please note refunds for failure to attend the workshop cannot be made.

Refund requests will be processed within 3 working days. Once processed, refunds can take up to 7 working days to appear in your account.
