Event Details

The International Federation for Structural Concrete, usually referred to as fib (federation internationale du béton), has a long history of instigating research on structural concrete and publishing industry guidance that often goes beyond what established codes can offer.

What’s happening? is organised by the UK Group of fib. This event will provide an overview of younger participation and the on-going work of three fib commissions.
 
Expert speakers will cover what is happening on:

  • Early involvement (fibUK Early Careers Group)
  • Analysis and design rules (Commission 2)
  • Prestressing and reinforcements (Commission 5)
  • Durability and lifecycle design (Commission 8)

 

Designers, contractors, academics and clients will:

  • Gain an understanding of the latest developments from fib
  • Influence the international work of fib
  • Network including meeting UK representatives on fib commissions and task groups
