Description

fib: What’s happening? is organised by the UK Group of fib (The International Federation for Structural Concrete). This event will provide an overview of the on-going work of three fib commissions that instigate research on structural concrete and publish industry guidance that goes beyond what established codes can offer.

This is a re-scheduled event as the initial event was cancelled due to adverse weather connditions, on Thursday 1st March 2018.

Expert speakers will cover what is happening on:

  • Analysis and design rules (Commission 2) – Dr Robert Vollum
  • Prestressing and reinforcements (Commission 5) – Gordon Clark
  • Precast segmental bridges (Commission 1) – Gopal Srinivasan

Designers, contractors, academics and clients will:

  • Gain an understanding of the latest developments from fib
  • Influence the international work of fib
  • Network with the fibUK Group and UK representatives on fib commissions and task groups
