Watch this space for author announcements, but Fiction Fest UK is a multi-genre festival spanning romance, fantasy, sci-fi, crime, historical, horror, YA, contemporary fiction, and more.

We’ll be announcing our author line-up, vendors, and speakers over the coming months. Expect a mix of Trad Published writers, indie authors, publishers, and bookish businesses.

Will there be book signings?

Yes! There will be a dedicated signing area where you can meet authors, get books signed, and take photos.

Do I need to bring my own books?

A festival bookshop will be on site, but you’re welcome to bring your own copies to be signed. We're also working on a pre-order system.

What’s included in my ticket?

Everything! No upsells here. Entry gives you access to all panels, Q&As, signings, and the vendor hall. Some special sessions may require pre-registration (details TBA), and you'll have to cover your own food, drink and use of the cloakroom.

Yes. Fiction Fest UK is strictly 18+ only. This is due to the presence of adult themes, mature discussions, and explicit book content. ID may be requested on entry.

Will there be food and drink available?

Bridgewater Hall has a bar and coffee bar on site and Manchester city centre offers lots of nearby cafes, restaurants, and bars.

Yes, Bridgewater Hall is fully accessible, with step-free access, lifts, accessible seating, and facilities. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.

Can I refund or transfer my ticket?

All sales are final and tickets are non-refundable. However, you can update your ticket details via Eventbrite if you need to transfer it to another attendee.

Do you offer carer tickets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We have a limited number of Carer tickets which will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. Carers can attend free of charge when accompanying an attendee who requires assistance. Proof of disability will be required, and details on how to request a carer ticket coming soon.
