These workshops work as part of a course or as standalone classes.
Are you part way through a project? Stuck for ideas, need a confidence boost or want to practice writing skills? Do you write for recreation or aim for publication?
This course is designed to be "serious fun" whatever your level and will help develop skills and confidence in fiction or non-fiction. (No poetry, sorry – I’m not a poetry specialist.)
- 14/12/16 Week 4 Shape and Structure – Keeping the Tension
- 10/01/17 Week 5 Setting / Location
- 24/01/17 Week 6 Reshaping and Revising / Problem Solving
- 07/02/17 Week 7 Polishing / Individual Feedback session
- 21/02/17 Week 8 What's Next for Your Writing?
Later in 2017 (i.e. when it gets lighter) we will run site-specific sessions at the enigmatic Bentwaters location.
NB This is not a 'writing group'. I will not ask you to share your work publicly. This is about each participant developing as a writer on their own terms.
£25.00 per two-hour session, alternate Tuesdays 19.00–21.00. Maximum of 10 places available per session.
