Description

Thursday 15th February, The Bank, Neilston Development Trust

Join the start of a new Field Lab exploring ways to improve soil health and reduce the need for weeding, hosted by social enterprise Locavore.

Over the next year at Left Field, they will be under-sowing kale with different green manure mixes to combat weeds, improve soil fertility and increase yields.

Join us at the kick-off meeting in February for a discussion about green manures and cultivation techniques, followed by a complimentary organic lunch and a tour of the market garden.

Free to market gardeners, allotment and home growers, and farmers.

If you’re a farmer, grower or land manager, book your free place now by clicking on the 'Register' button: it’s open to all but we’re expecting this session to fill up quickly, and booking is absolutely essential. For more information call Jane on 0131 666 2474, or email.

Funding for this activity is made available through the SRDP Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Fund (which is jointly funded by the Scottish Government and the European Union), with partner funding from Quality Meat Scotland, Forestry Commission Scotland, Innovative Farmers and The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation.
