Fife Tourism Conference 2019
Event Information
About this Event
We have an amazing speaker line-up and are delighted to announce this year’s keynote speaker as Amar Latif, TravelEyes International. Amar is a blind traveller, entrepreneur and TV personality with an astonishing track record of facing up to major challenges. Due to an incurable eye condition, he lost 95% of his sight by the age of 19. Through sheer determination he has managed to turn an unpromising tale of loss, into one of truly inspirational achievement.
You’ll also hear from Paul Alexander, CEO of leading customer insight company Beyond Analysis, who is an industry expert on using data to build powerful business travel propositions. Peter Jordan, Toposophy will also be sharing the latest on emerging consumer trends in travel as well as digital guru, Stephen Whitelaw who be looking at future technologies affecting tourism businesses in the next five years.
There will also be a series of 4 x short focus sessions. In these you'll hear from a number of speakers including James Murden from AliveLab, who'll be updating on the In the Footsteps of Kings augmented reality app, Owen Hazel of Jannettas Gelataria who’ll be sharing the family business success story, Ed Heather-Hayes, Fife Coast & Countryside Trust who’ll present on the new Fife Pilgrim Way and how to maximise tourism opportunities, as well as Ann Camus, Fife Tourism Manager and Caroline Warburton, VisitScotland who’ll be offering you a sneak preview of the new Fife campaign ‘Welcome to our Home’.
The event provides a great platform for you to network with businesses in the tourism sector and industry leaders. You’ll also feel inspired, as the speakers share valuable tips and ideas you can implement in your own business.
