Event description

Description

The fifth London Symposium of Information Theory (LSIT) will be held on 30 and 31 May 2019 at King's College London. The symposium continues the tradition of the historical first four editions of LSIT, which were held in London in 1950, 1952, 1955, and 1960 and were attended by the likes of Claude Shannon and Alan Turing.

This will be a two-day event, with the first day devoted to exploring the intersection of machine learning and information theory and the second day dedicated to novel applications of information theory. We will have two keynote presentations per day, as well as two invited sessions and a poster session.

Authors interested in presenting a poster at LSIT should send a title, list of authors, and a brief description of the problem and main results to lsitposter@gmail.com by 31 December 2018. Decisions will be sent by 31 January 2019.
