Fight Inflation by Taking Control of Your Overheads (Not-for-Profit Focus)
Event Information
About this event
Clearly none of us can do anything directly about global inflation. But in this webinar I will share with you five ways of lessening its impact on your organisation by finding hidden savings in your indirect costs.
You’ll get five ways to take control of your overhead spend.
At a time when your organisation can least afford inefficiencies, inflation makes these overhead inefficiencies even worse.
One of the things I’ll cover is a model I regularly use: ‘The Purchasing Chessboard’, a concept first published in the Harvard Business Review and later developed into a best selling book now on its 3rd edition. This model will help you to take greater control of your supply chain by understanding the relative power of your suppliers. One of the major benefits for you will be a stronger negotiating position.
I’m a consultant with Expense Reduction Analysts (and former CFO and MD of multi-million-pound NHS organisations, Charity Audit Chair and University Audit Chair). I specialise in helping not-for-profits uncover savings hidden in their overheads. In other words, I help them take direct control of indirect costs, without sacrificing quality.
For instance, some examples of the outcomes clients have seen:
✔ Sue Ryder saw savings ranging from 7%-48% across 15 cost areas. Savings include 7% on water, 10% fuel cards, 15% waste, 25% stationary and 48% on mobile phone costs.
✔ Jewish Care - Health and social care provider saved between 15% and 67% across 10 categories. This includes 28% facilities management, 43% managed print and 48% on water.
✔ Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra saved between 12% and 43% across 9 categories. This includes 12% waste, 15% merchant cards and 43% office supplies.
✔ University of Hull saved between 2% and 42% across 6 categories. This includes 2% water, 18% stationary and 42% mobile telecoms.
I look forward to welcoming you to the webinar.
