Fight Performance Workshop at St Luke's Church
Acquire some new performance skills or refresh your muscle memory with our three hour Fight Performance workshop with Fight Arranger Dan Burman.
Learn to convincingly slap, punch and strangle your opponent while feeding character and performance into 'Acting the Fight'.
Workshop will include:
Basic and intermediate techniques
Choreography and Performance
Text into fight and back out again
Group fights - Hero or Henchman
Dan is a professional Actor and Fight Performer and has worked on several major features and TV series including Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Snow White and the Huntsman, Disney's Cinderella and Vikings. He has taught Fight Performance workshops in the UK and America and is the Fight Arranger for the English National Opera.
CUCKOO BANG are a London based new writing theatre company showcasing the best emerging artists in the country. Their recent work includes the 4* production of IN MY HEAD a new mental health play by Chris Mayo at The Brockley Jack Studio Theatre. Their current production CHOOSERS is playing at theatres across London this Autumn. Aside from productions, Cuckoo Bang regularly creates low cost opportunities for actors and creatives to learn new performance skills & make connections with others in the industry.
All our classes & workshops are friendly, welcoming, informative, fun and most importantly, affordable. 50% of the proceeds of all our classes and events go back into developing future productions and opportunities for emerging artists.

The total cost of the three hour session is £21.83 (including booking fee). 10 'Early Bird' discounted tickets are available at £15 with no booking fee and are sold on a first come, first served basis.
Both the morning and afternoon sessions are the same 3 hour class, please book whichever session best suits your availability.
The class is available to anyone over the age of 18
This is a very physical class and therefore it is strongly advisable that anyone with an injury or condition that is affected by physical exertion does not attend. These include (but not limited to): Back, neck and head injuries, heart conditions, mobility problems & pregnant women. If you have any questions about the suitability of the class, please drop us an email to email@example.com and we'll be happy to advise further.
Please bring plenty of water with you and comfortable clothes to move around in.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
There's no need to bring your printed ticket, your ticket displayed on your phone or tablet is fine.
What is the refund policy?
There is a no refund policy for our workshops, however you are welcome to hand the place over to someone else, just drop us an email at email@example.com with the name of the person who is taking your ticket.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
No problem! If you have booked for someone else or have passed the ticket on to a friend please drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know the name of the person who will be using the ticket on the day to ensure they get in.
