In this LCF X CASS ART workshop led by Martha Zmpounou, we will explore various techniques for drawing faces and/or figures quickly and intuitively using a range of media. By combining analytical and intuitive modes of working, we will experiment with both traditional and unconventional approaches. Under tailored guidance, the participants will work towards creating images that emerge from the interplay of abstract, underdeveloped marks alongside more detailed elements, aiming for delicate balance between abstraction and representation.
Martha Zmpounou is a professional visual artist based in London. Martha regularly exhibits in the UK and abroad and is a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in watercolour, and the Contemporary British Portrait Painters.
All the workshop media are supplied free of charge by Cass Art. Please note that spaces for each workshop are precious and limited, so we would be grateful if you only commit to workshops you will attend.
This workshop is taking place in the Wolfson Gallery on the Ground Floor at London College of Fashion, UAL.
