Film & TV Acting Workshops with Richard Stride
Award-winning actor, director and writer Richard Stride leads these exciting workshops, giving participants the opportunity to learn essential skills for film and television. Richard’s impressive credits include Star Wars: Episode II and Episode III, Say Nothing for Disney+, and Beware of What You Wish For on Amazon Prime. He is also the writer of the upcoming feature film Fragments of Freedom, currently in development.
These workshops are designed to help aspiring actors, filmmakers and creatives build confidence, gain practical experience, and develop the techniques needed to succeed in the screen industry. In today’s industry, self-tapes are often the key to landing the role. In this focused session, Richard reveals the insider techniques casting directors are searching for. From mastering framing and delivery to bringing text alive on camera, participants will gain the secret skills to create stand-out auditions that get noticed.

Building a Scene: Conflict & Stage Combat
Drama thrives on conflict — and in this high-energy workshop, you’ll learn how to build it with authenticity. Richard guides participants through crafting powerful scenes of argument and physical tension, exploring everything from emotionally charged gestures to staged violence. Develop safe and convincing techniques in unarmed combat and sword fighting, unlocking the tools to elevate your performances with dynamic physical storytelling.

Fantasy & Sci-Fi Combat for Screen
Take your stage combat skills to the next level in this thrilling continuation. Enter the worlds of fantasy and sci-fi as Richard introduces participants to lightsabre choreography and creative fight sequences, blending performance, physicality, and imagination. The workshop will culminate in filming your piece, giving you both hands-on experience and a lasting record of your work.
