For our first event of the academic year, we have decided to screen the infamous Paris is Burning!

Filmed in the mid-to-late 1980s, it chronicles the ball culture of New York City and the African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it.

- When: Thursday 23 November 2017, from 5.30 pm (drinks and snacks), screening starts at 6.00pm

Previously known as the Queer@arts Staff Network, this group was formed in 2008 for all UAL staff who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+).
Staff from the network meet up once a term to discuss how to best to progress an LGBTQ+ agenda at UAL and they also arrange social events for staff. Anyone is welcome to come along to the meetings.
