About this event
Written and directed by IOE Alumnus Leon Oldstrong, PGCE Primary, ‘The Lies of Our Confines’ is a character driven story, focussing on a group of Black teenagers from London and their two youth leaders. The story seeks to avoid common stereotypes of Black men and boys - they are intelligent, creative, caring, funny and vulnerable.
Two youth leaders take a group of young Black males from a deprived community on a getaway to the outdoors to give them a new perspective on life and broaden their horizons. Things take a sinister turn when one of them stumbles across a corn doll, housing a vengeful spirit.
Please note that this movie is rated 12A - infrequent strong language.
