Event description

Description

Acclaimed director David Lowery’s unforgettable meditation on love and grief is a singular exploration of legacy, loss and the innate human need for meaning and connection. Recently deceased, a white-sheeted ghost returns to his suburban home to console his bereft wife. Yet, in death, he has become unstuck in time; forced to watch passively as the life he knew and the woman he loves slowly slip away. Unmoored from the corporeal world, the ghost embarks on a cosmic journey through memory and history, confronting life’s ineffable questions. What it is left behind after we’re gone? Does it matter we were there in the first place? With refreshing simplicity and black humour, A Ghost Story is, as The New York Times’ A.O. Scott admires, ‘hair-raising and clever, a tour de force of sensation and a triumph of craft.’
