Description

6:00pm – Exhibition view

6.30pm – Screening followed by Q&A with scriptwriter, Jenny Lecoat

Join us for a screening of Another Mother’s Son, the extraordinary true story of Louisa Gould, as featured in the Wiener Library’s On British Soil exhibition. The film depicts a tale of defiance, courage, and betrayal set against the backdrop of Nazi occupation of the Channel Islands during the Second World War. When a Russian soldier escapes the labour camps, Louisa, played by Jenny Seagrove (Local Hero, A Shocking Accident) decides to shelter him, but the relationship that develops between them, and Louisa’s underestimation of the dangers involved, risks the lives of her friends and family. Also starring John Hannah (Four Weddings and a Funeral, The Mummy), Ronan Keating, Julian Kostov and Amanda Abbingdon (Sherlock, Mr Selfridge).

After the screening there will a chance to ask scriptwriter, Jenny Lecoat questions. Lecoat is not only the scriptwriter for Another Mother's Son but also Louisa Gould’s great-niece.
