Description

Film screening

Join us for a special screening of award-winning British film, Made in Dagenham, the 2010 dramatisation of the women workers’ strike at the Ford Dagenham factory in 1968.

The film follows Rita O’Grady (Sally Hawkins) as she rallys fellow workers to strike, demanding equal pay and working conditions to the men they work alongside.

The screening will be accompanied by key documents from our collection relating to the strike.

Please note that original documents will be on display as part of this event. Coats and bags are not be permitted in the document display and must be left in our free lockers on the ground floor. Refreshments may be taken into the events room but not the document display room.

Please note: new charges have been recently introduced for our on site visitor parking. Follow the link for further information.

We run an exciting range of events and exhibitions on a wide variety of topics. For more details, visit nationalarchives.gov.uk/whatson.
