ABOUT THE SKIN I LIVE IN:

Legendary director, Pedro Almodóvar is in full Hitchcock-mode for this twisted and sensual arthouse thriller.

Antonio Banderas stars as Dr. Robert Ledgard, an eminent plastic surgeon. Following his wife's death in a car crash, he becomes obsessed with using pig genes to create impenetrable human skin, which might have saved his wife. He is also keeping gorgeous Vera (Elena Anaya) captive in his home.

On it's release in 2011, Empire named it "this year's classiest horror film."The film's design, costumes and music, especially Alberto Iglesias' music, present a lushly beautiful setting, which is nonetheless a prison and house of horror. " The film won the BAFTA for Best Film Not in the English Language. It was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film and 16 Goya Awards.

VENUE DETAILS:

The dinner and film screening will be at the charmingly eccentric India Club restaurant and lounge. The India Club has remained much the same since its opening over 50 years ago.

Hidden up a flight of stairs, enter a timewarp with portraits of the Independence era on the walls, bottle-green leather chairs, red lino flooring and laminate tabletops. It is a British curry house of the first generation.

Described as "the London of black-and-white movies...India Club is part of London's restaurant history." - Bloomberg
