About this event

Film & Media • Film

Wind, Tide & Oar is a compelling exploration of engineless sailing, shot on analog film over three years. The film delves into the experiences of those who travel solely by harnessing the natural elements, following a diverse array of traditional boats, journeying through rivers, coastlines, and open seas, spanning the UK, the Netherlands, and France.

The film explores our interaction with and responsibility to the environment. It invites deep reflection on our relationship with nature, our understanding of and commitment to sustainability, and our care for the world around us.

Programme:

14.45 Doors open

15.15 Wind Tide & Oar

16.45 Teas, coffees and biscuits

17.15 A couple of short films, including 'Seven wherries on Wroxham' and 'Destination New Mills', a short film of Maud's recent trip to New Mills made by Roger Hewins

Venue: Strumpshaw Community Hall, Mill Road, Strumpshaw, Norwich NR13 4FS
