Hot on the heels of our very successful screening of "Welcome to the Sticks" ("Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis), we bring you another massive French box office hit in which Philippe, a quadriplegic aristocratic millionaire interviews candidates for the position of his carer. One candidate, Driss, hailing from a deprived quarter of Paris asks him to sign his Social Security form to prove he is seeking work. Taking a chance, Philippe offers Driss a month’s trial, which he accepts and changes their lives forever.
Based on a true story, written and directed by Olivier Nakache & Éric Toledano, starring François Cluzet and Omar Sy. France 2011, 112 min, French with EN subtitles.
