Final Conference ENLIVEN
Event Information
Description
Synopsis of Event
This conference will focus on the outcomes of the European Horizon 2020 project ENLIVEN: Encouraging Lifelong Learning for an Inclusive and Vibrant Europe. During the past three years, researchers from across Europe and Australia investigated policy debates, funding mechanisms and lived experiences of participants in the field of lifelong learning, especially for young adults. During the day, the research team will interact with the audience and an expert panel on the significance of the project results. An Intelligent Decision Support System, constructed by the consortium to help policy makers and practitioners to make choices on the design and implementation of education and training interventions for young adults in need of support will be launched and discussed. The ultimate aim of the day will be to enable policy-makers at European Union, national, regional and organizational levels to enhance the provision and take-up of learning opportunities for (young) adults, leading to a more productive and innovative workforce, and reduced social exclusion. These discussions will be backed up by evidence gathered in the project, underpinned by theoretical debates in the broader field of lifelong learning.
