Prospects and Shaw Trust Careers in Practice events provides young people in Years 11–13 with unique opportunities to gain a direct insight into the multitude of careers in the City of London. These courses inform, motivate and raise aspirations for those considering careers in sectors which are traditionally difficult to enter.

With more than 20 years experience of working with young people to help them reach their potential, Prospects together with Shaw Trust also has established links with prestigious employers and institutions.

To enable students to get the most out of the experience, group sizes are small, therefore we have a limited number of places for the February Finance and Economics Careers in Practice two day intensive programme. The programme provides students with the opportunity to learn first hand about careers in business, finance and economics and gain the practical experience necessary to improve their chance of university selection and interview. Over the 2 days, students will get:

• Up to date careers information
• A valuable and varied experience
• Presentations from professionals in their work place
• Specialist and practical careers advice to cover; personal statements, CV preparation and interview techniques.
• Build a network with other like-minded students
