Our Finance Leadership Programme provides the opportunity for finance professionals to reflect on the soft skills, and develop the knowledge needed to progress their careers and achieve their full potential.
Delivered in partnership with Grant Thornton, this invite-only group aims to introduce a balance of business insight and leadership development within a relaxed and informal environment.
Session 1 – Understanding Corporate Finance Transactions
In this session, Tim Hansell from Grant Thornton, will explore Corporate Finance, what you need to know to develop strategies that you need in order to influence stakeholders such as Banks and Lawyers. Tim will be joined by Tony Bailey, formerly the Financial Director of Midwich and Kettle Foods, who will share his experiences.
About Tim Hansell
Tim has over 20 years M&A advisory experience, having advised on some of the most high profile corporate finance transactions in the region. Prior to joining GT, Tim was an investment banker with Rothschild before leading Deloitte’s corporate finance team in Cambridge.
Past deals have included advising on the sale of kiddicare.com to Morrisons, the MBO of Carter Accommodation backed by Connection Capital, the sale of Erben Packaging to Berlin Packaging, the sale of Earthoil Plantations by Treatt PLC to Univar Limited and the sale by RPC Group plc of United Closures and Plastics to Guala Closures.
Most recently, Tim was awarded the accolade of Central & East Dealmaker of the Year at Insider’s 2018 Dealmakers Awards and is Head of Advisory in Grant Thornton’s Norwich office. Tim lives in Norfolk and outside of work enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and training for triathlons.

Cost
The cost for the programme is £40 + VAT for all 3 sessions or £15 + VAT per session. Pure will donate fees from this programme to Norwich & Central Norfolk MIND.
