Description

Join us for our September 2014 happy hour with Andrew Levitt, Investment Director responsible for Social Impact Bonds at Bridges Ventures.

When: Thursday 18th September, 7:30pm at Borough Barista in Charles II street (new location!)

Expect an eye-opening deep dive into investments in Social Impact Bonds, Andrew’s area of focus and responsibility at Bridges Ventures. SIB investments have been at the heart of the innovation and advocacy efforts around Impact Investing, providing the required up-front funding for new interventions and services delivered by charities and social enterprises, knowing their returns will only be made if the intervention achieves specific improved social outcomes. The Bridges SIB Fund forms a key part of Bridges’ Social Sector Funds, alongside the Social Entrepreneurs Fund. Bridges’ funds are currently supporting 10 organisations to deliver Social Impact Bonds around the UK, with target outcomes including improved education, employment, family therapy, supported adoption and therapeutic foster care.

Prior to raising and managing the Bridges Social Impact Bond Fund, Andrew was previously CEO of a social enterprise owned by international impact investors: MicroCred Banque, the largest microfinance bank in Madagascar. He has also worked in the UK banking and insurance industries and as a strategy consultant for McKinsey & Company.

Please join us on the 18th of September from 7:30pm for a rousing discussion with Andrew on all things around Social Investment Bonds, their track record, proven concept, impact, returns, and anything else you may want to ask.

New location, but as usual we will provide drinks and canapés. We look forward to seeing you there.

More on our Happy Hours:

Canapés and wine will be served at the event. We will have a half hour of meeting & greet and begin the discussion at 8pm.

We look forward to seeing you there.
